Project SERVE, a program of Catholic Charities, is a unique, year-long service learning opportunity. We are looking for recent college graduates who want to dedicate a year to full-time volunteerism prior to attending graduate school or starting a career. Our volunteers live in community housing in downtown Baltimore City and work at a variety of Catholic Charities programs. We have opportunities working with people who are recent immigrants, children at-risk, people who are homeless, foster care families, and senior citizens, among others.
In exchange for their service, we provide our volunteers with rent- and utility-free housing, health insurance, a monthly stipend for living expenses, and an AmeriCorps Education Award upon completion of the program. This $4,725.00 award can be used to pay off student loans or finance continuing education. Project SERVE provides an ideal environment in which to obtain practical, meaningful work experience while serving people who are marginalized and working for social justice.
The Project SERVE term is approximately August 25 through July 25.
